Ear Muffs Safety

Details

  • Model: tfcp-mach1earmuffs

Description

Class 4 ear muffs for hearing protection. Lightweight, foam ear cushions, slide and swivel cup allows for easy adjustability. Dielectric ear muff to use in or around electrical equipment.

An inexpensive noise reducing ear muff, shock resistant, durable with soft foam cushion on the ear cups for comfort and firm fitting. The swivel action of the cups allows for the ear muff to be worn around the neck for use with hard hats. Normal over the head wear adjustability is achieved by the slide action of the ear cup.

The Mach 1 Howard Leight bright coloured dielectric (non-metallic) ear muffs have CE EN352 with a NRR of 18 and are certified to AS/NZS 1270:2002 with a class 4 rating SLC80 22 dB

Just a quick aside----the level of noise entering a person’s ear, when a hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the NRR.

For example: the environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dB(A)---the NRR is 18 decibels (dB)---the noise level entering the ear is approximately equal to 74 dB(A).

This is an example only because other factors may exist ( bad fitting, different sound frequencies, moisture on the ear muff, etc. ) that may affect the efficiency of the ear muff.

As a general noise level reference only because equipment size and location affect noise differently; the loudness of a whisper is appox 30 dbA, ordinary conversation 60 dbA, vacuum cleaner (back pack) 68 dbA, small lawnmower 85 dbA, and a jackhammer 100 dba.

Refer to the fitting instruction before use.

The ear muff come individually packed, single sealed pack for hygiene.
